The Incas
The Inca Empire appeared in the 15th Century and lasted for less than a year. They had built the society in the center of where Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and southern Colombia now stand and meet. The empire that stretched over 3200 kilometers was conquered in 1532 after a small Spanish expedition heard about an empire of gold and went to investigate. The culture that the Incas were once so proud of had slowly lost all of its art and tradition as the Spanish took over and started their rule. This resulted in the loss of many great artifacts and salvaging only a few remaining relics after the Incas fell.
